The hearing on the bail plea of Sudhir Sangwan, accused of murder of Haryana BJP leader and Tiktok star Sonali Phogat, was held in the trial court of Goa today. CBI filed its reply, but Sonali Phogat’s family’s lawyer did not file its reply on bail. Due to which the court has fixed the date of June 15 for this.
Now on June 15, the lawyer of Sonali’s family will file its reply. After which there will be a debate between the defense and CBI lawyers regarding bail. The CBI had sought time to file its reply on May 24, the last hearing.
Sudhir Sangwan and Sukhwinder got bail
Sudhir Sangwan has already got bail in the NDPS case. Whereas, Sudhir’s associate Sukhwinder got bail in the murder case from the Goa High Court on 3 May. After which Sudhir applied for bail.
Please tell that Sudhir is the main accused in the Sonali Phogat murder case. He was Sonali’s PA. Sonali’s brothers had accused her of committing the murder to grab the property.
The charge sheet was presented on 22 November
In the Sonali murder case, on November 22, the CBI presented a charge sheet against Sudhir Sangwan and Sukhwinder in a Goa court. This charge sheet was presented before the First Class Judicial Magistrate in Mapusa Court, Goa. A 2500-page charge sheet has been presented against both.
Murder happened in Goa
Sonali Phogat was murdered in Goa on 22-23 August. At that time he was accompanied by his PAs Sudhir Sangwan and Sukhwinder in Goa. Sonali’s family alleges that Sudhir and Sukhwinder have murdered her. Sudhir wants to usurp Sonali’s property. That’s why he killed Sonali by giving her drugs. It was alleged that he was forcibly given drugs. Both had bought and brought the drugs.
Brother had filed a case in Goa
Sonali’s brother Rinku had lodged a murder case against Sudhir Sangwan and Sukhwinder by giving a complaint to the Goa Police. Sonali’s post mortem report found injury marks on her body. 5 people including the resort owner and drug supplier were arrested.
