For the second time in seven months, the Sukhu government in Himachal has given a big blow to the people of inflation. The state government has increased VAT on diesel by Rs. With this, VAT on diesel has increased from Rs.7.40 to Rs.10.40 in the state.

Diesel will now be available from Rs 89 to Rs 91 per liter in different cities of the state. Regarding this, Principal Secretary Excise and Taxation Bharat Kheda has issued orders late in the evening. According to these orders, the increased prices of diesel have come into effect from 12:00 midnight.

Earlier, as soon as the Congress government was formed in the state, Chief Minister Sukhu, in the name of Old Pension Scheme (OPS), had imposed a VAT of Rs. Now this is the second time when not 10, 20, 50 paise, but directly increased by three rupees.

Not even a year has passed since the formation of the Congress government, before that VAT on diesel has been increased twice.

prices of everything will be affected

This will affect the prices of construction materials including food items in the coming days. This will make everything costlier, because the cost of diesel will increase due to cost of diesel. This will also affect the prices. Farmers and gardeners will also be hit by this.

The transportation of apples will also be expensive

Apple season has started in the state. It is obvious that after the increase in VAT on diesel, the fare for transporting apples will also become expensive. The Sukhu government, which came to power with the claim of system change, is making diesel a source of income. Due to this, the input cost of farming is also going to increase, because the tractors, power sprayers, grass cutters etc. agricultural equipment of the farmers run on diesel.

Building a house will also be expensive

Sukhu government had increased VAT for the first time under the guise of OPS. Now VAT has been imposed in the guise of disaster. Due to this, building a house in the mountains will also become expensive. Not only this, the fare of the buses can also be expensive.

Yearning to get out of financial misery

The Himachal government has a debt of more than 76 thousand. However, even during the previous Jairam government, the state had a debt of about 73 thousand crores. Knowing this, the Congress gave such guarantees to the public, which even resource-rich states could not fulfill.
