Mandeep Kaur Mona alias dacoit Haseena Frooti, the mastermind of the 8.5 crore robbery in Ludhiana, got trapped. The Punjab Police had set up a Fruity langar on the way to Hemkund Sahib. There Mona came to drink Frooti with husband Jaswinder Singh. As soon as he took the fruity from the langar and removed the mask from his mouth to drink it, the police recognized him. From there the police arrested him and brought him to Ludhiana. Mona alias dacoit Haseena had committed the robbery along with 10 people including her husband-brother and company employee.

Entered at half past one in the night, took away cash in the company’s van
The ATM Cash Management Company has its office in Rajguru Nagar, Ludhiana. 10 robbers including a woman came here at half past one on the night of 10th June. They took 3 guards and 2 employees of the company hostage. Then ran away with the cash in the company’s van itself. Then leaving the van at Mullapur, they took away the cash by putting it in another vehicle.

The police kept searching for clues about the robbers for about 60 hours but nothing was found. Then the police got 2 clues of the robbers. The first clue was that the van containing the looted cash had flickered on while leaving the company office. In such a situation, the police were convinced that an employee or driver of the company was involved in the robbery. There was no possibility of the second cash van being released. Due to which the police kept traps in the surrounding areas.
The police reached Hemkund Sahib disguised as devotees and planted langar there.

The police laid a regular trap in a village near where the cash van was found. There the police found 3 people hiding in the bushes. When the police inquired, first they started making excuses that they had come to rub cannabis. When the police inquired strictly, it came to know that all the three robbers belong to the same gang. These include the company’s employee Manjinder Singh alias Money.
Hemkund Sahib went to bow down when the vow of loot was fulfilled.
According to the police, the mastermind of the robbery was Mandeep Kaur Mona. She had vowed that if the robbery was successful, she would bow down in the religious places of Uttarakhand. When the robbery was successful, she went to visit Hemkund Sahib in Uttarakhand with her husband Jaswinder. After this he had to escape to Nepal. With the help of counter intelligence, Ludhiana Police got its tip. After which a team was formed and sent there.
The police only knew that Mona was wearing sky blue and pink thick soled boots. It was difficult for the police to identify Mona among thousands of Sangat.

When Mona passed there with her husband Jaswinder, she took the fruit from the policemen. When she removed the mask to drink fruity, she was recognized. The police took his photo. He was then arrested after his identity was confirmed.

In this, the mastermind of the robbery, Mona’s fellow company employee, had hidden 50 lakh rupees in the sewerage gutter. When the police checked, bundles of 500-500 rupee notes were found. Those who had to wash the police. Apart from this, the police recovered money from many places including car, rain water drain net, scooty’s trunk, bed of the house. Police has so far recovered about 6.96 crore cash out of 8.49 crore.
