The interim bail plea of ​​Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Satyendar Jain will be heard today. The last hearing in this case was held on July 10, in which the court extended his bail till July 24. Jain’s lawyer AM Singhvi had told the court that 3 hospitals have advised Jain for surgery. That’s why they should get bail.

Meanwhile, on July 21, Jain underwent spinal surgery at Delhi’s Apollo Hospital. This information was tweeted by Arvind Kejriwal. He prayed for Jain’s good health.

Earlier Satyendra got bail for 42 days
Earlier on May 26, the Supreme Court granted him bail for 6 weeks on the basis of medical condition. July 11 was the last day of his bail. During the hearing on the bail plea, the court had said- “Jain can undergo treatment in a private hospital, but will not influence any witness. Nor will he go outside Delhi. Present the report of whoever is undergoing treatment by July 10.”

Significantly, Jain was in custody since May 31, 2022. After the bail plea was rejected by the Delhi High Court on April 6, he appealed to the Supreme Court from where he got bail for 42 days after 360 days.

Jain reached the hospital thrice in a week

On the morning of 25 May, AAP leader Satyendar Jain had slipped and fallen in the washroom of Tihar Jail. He was admitted to Deendayal Upadhyay Hospital. After his condition deteriorated in the afternoon, he was shifted to Loknayak Jai Prakash Narayan Hospital (LNJP) and put on oxygen support.

This was the third time in a week that Jain had reached the hospital. Earlier on May 22, he was taken to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi itself. Then he had a problem with the spine. On May 20 also, he was brought to Deendayal Hospital due to the same problem.

Money-laundering case on Satyendra Jain

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had launched a money-laundering probe against Jain on August 24, 2017, on the basis of an FIR lodged by the CBI. From February 14, 2015 to May 31, 2017, Satyendar Jain had purchased movable properties in the name of several persons. For which they could not give a satisfactory account. Along with him, a case was also registered against Poonam Jain, Ajit Prasad Jain, Sanil Kumar Jain, Vaibhav Jain and Ankush Jain.
