Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya informed the House on Thursday about the situation of Corona in the country.

Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya gave a statement on the condition of Corona in the country on Thursday amidst the uproar of the opposition. He said- In the last 3 years, the changing nature of the virus has posed a threat to health. It affected every country.

In one year, there was a continuous decrease in Kovid cases in India. Right now 153 cases are coming daily. 5.87 lakh cases are being registered daily all over the world. In countries like Japan, South Korea, USA, France, the number of deaths due to Covid has increased.

He said that the challenge has increased with the new variant. It is necessary to follow every protocol. We have managed the Covid pandemic. We helped the states so that they can fight against Covid. 220 crore Covid vaccines have been installed. 90% of the population has got both the vaccines. More than 25 crore population has been given pre-caution dose.

1. He said – Our eyes are on the world. The government is taking immediate steps on the challenges arising out of the changing variant. States have been advised to increase genome sequencing to control Covid. This will enable tracking of new variants. This will allow steps to be taken for public health ahead of time.

2. In view of the upcoming festive season, states have been asked to be vigilant, create awareness about masks, sanitizers. States should also make efforts to increase the precaution dose and create awareness for the same. Random sampling of international passengers has also been started today.

3. India is already focusing on vaccination with test, track and treat. We are determined to stop this epidemic. Necessary steps are being taken.

4. This epidemic is not completely over yet. Covid protocol should be followed after applying precaution dose. Our enemy is changing from time to time. There is a need to continue to fight against it.
