There has been a controversy over CM Ashok Gehlot praising former CM Vasundhara Raje for not helping to topple the government during the political crisis. Targeting Gehlot, Raje termed his praise as a conspiracy. Raje issued a written statement late on Sunday night saying, ‘Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot is lying because of fear of defeat in 2023. He has accused Home Minister Amit Shah, whose honesty and integrity is known to all.
Raje said, ‘ No one can insult me as much as Gehlot insulted me in life. They are creating such fabricated stories to avoid the historic defeat in 2023 elections. Which is unfortunate. This ploy of his is not going to be successful.
Raje said- If their MLAs took money then get an FIR done
Raje said, ‘Taking and giving bribe is both a crime. If their MLAs have taken money, then get an FIR registered. The truth is that he has made such outrageous and false allegations out of frustration due to the rebellion in his own party and the dwindling mass base.
Gehlot is expert in horse-trading
Vasundhara Raje said, ‘As far as horse-trading of MLAs is concerned, its master is Ashok Gehlot himself. Those who did so in 2008 and 2018 being in the minority. At that time neither BJP nor Congress had got majority. We too could have formed the government, but it was against the principles of the BJP. On the contrary, Gehlot formed the government both the times by buying MLAs.
Gehlot held a meeting at Rajkheda in Dhaulpur on Sunday. This is where Raje was praised fiercely.
