Dacoit Mona and her husband Jaswinder Singh Jassa taking fruits during the langar in the religious place.

Mandeep Kaur alias Mona, the mastermind of the Rs 8.5 crore robbery in Ludhiana, was arrested yesterday from a religious place in Uttarakhand. The police had set a trap to catch him. The police had got the location of his being in the religious place. After which the police planted a fruity langar outside that religious place. Here, as soon as Mona started queuing up with her husband to buy fruits, the police arrested her.

The operation to nab him was led by Inspector Beant Juneja. It was a big challenge to catch the accused when there was a crowd at the religious place. Inspector Beant Juanita told that as a human being, we gave Mona an opportunity to bow down in a religious place. But we had a full eye on it.

face-to-face interrogation
After the arrest, interrogated Mani and Mona sitting face to face. There were many revelations in the interrogation. Dacoit Mandeep Mona started thinking of robbery only after befriending Money. She kept asking Money about the company and the work there.

Mona had said – I can commit a robbery
A few months ago, Mani had jokingly told her that she was asking so much about his work ‘tu dakka’ marna’ (do you want to commit robbery). To this Mandeep replied, ‘Marna ve pe sakda’ (I can do that).

However, at that time Manjinder was unaware that the planning of the robbery was going on in Mandeep’s mind. Gradually, Mandeep and Majinder’s relationship grew stronger. Mandeep had a lot of debt. He found a shortcut way to get easy money.

Mastermind money was arrested in 60 hours
In 60 hours, Ludhiana Police and Counter Intelligence first arrested mastermind Manjinder Singh Mani, an employee of CMS Company. So far 9 accused have been arrested in this case.
