The Border Security Force (BSF) has repeatedly foiled the attempts of Pakistani smugglers on the Amritsar border of Punjab. BSF jawans succeeded in driving out the drone that came from Pakistan during the night. At the same time, a consignment of heroin worth about Rs 21 crore has also been seized during the search.

According to the information issued by BSF, the soldiers of Battalion 22 were on patrol in Dhanoa Kalan near Attari border. The sound of the drone was heard around 8:22 pm. The jawans started firing towards the sound of the drone. The drone returned after several rounds of fire. After which a search operation was conducted by sealing Dhanoa Kalan.
Packet found dropped in the fields
BSF jawans found a packet dropped in the fields. On which there was a hook and yellow tape. Blinkers were also fitted with it, so that the smugglers could know the location of the consignment after it fell. But before that the BSF jawans caught sight of the consignment.
In this way the consignment was packed and sent through drone.
When the consignment was opened after security check, jawans found three heroin packets in it. Whose total weight was estimated at 3 kg. The value of this consignment in the international market is estimated to be around Rs 21 crore.
Second success in two days
This is the second success in two days on Amritsar border. In the past, Pakistani smugglers had sent the drone towards Amritsar’s village Bachchiwind. Here also the BSF personnel chased him away by firing and seized a consignment of 3.2 kg heroin from Bachiwind.
