1. AAP in support of Uniform Civil Code; Said- consent should be taken before making law
The Aam Aadmi Party has supported the Uniform Civil Code. AAP’s Rajya Sabha MP Sandeep Pathak said, ‘We support it, but for this a consensus should be made by consulting people of all religions, political parties and organizations.’ A day before this, PM Modi had advocated Uniform Civil Code.
Why this news is important: The 22nd Law Commission has sought comments from the general public, institutions and religious organizations on UCC. Till now 8.5 lakh responses have also been received. If a bill regarding UCC is introduced in the Parliament, it would need a two-thirds majority to pass. The NDA has 330 MPs in the Lok Sabha, while the Rajya Sabha has 110 MPs. To pass the bill, the support of 362 members in the Lok Sabha and 167 in the Rajya Sabha is required. The AAP has one in the Lok Sabha, while it has 10 MPs in the Rajya Sabha.

2. The High Court said on Adipurush – Passing it is a blunder; Film makers just want to earn money
The Allahabad High Court has said that how the film Adipurush was passed by the Censor Board. To do so is a blunder. The court said these things during the hearing on the petition demanding a ban on the screening of the film. The court asked how the characters of Ramayana were shown as a joke. Film makers just want to earn money.
Why this news is important: Questions are being raised on the film getting approval from the censor board. The High Court has asked whether the certificate issued by the Censor Board cannot be cancelled? At the same time, in the petition filed in the High Court, it has also been demanded that the Censor Board be ordered not to give the certificate to the film. So that the film can be prevented from being circulated in public platforms or social media.

3. Heavy rain alert in 24 states; 6 people were rescued by helicopter in MP’s Seoni
Northwest India has received 42% more rainfall than normal while the countrywide rainfall is 16% less than normal. Due to heavy rains, there is a flood-like situation in Himachal’s Shimla. 4. Congress alleges – Drone deal with US a bigger scam than Rafale; This deal of 25 thousand crores
The Congress has termed the drone deal signed during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to America as a scam. Congress spokesperson Pawan Kheda said that the deal of 31 Predator drones for Rs 25 thousand 200 crore is a bigger scam than Rafale. Rest of the countries of the world are buying it at 4 times less price. Kheda says that we are buying a drone for Rs 812 crore, while DRDO can make it at 10-20% cost only.
Why this news is important: India is buying a total of 31 drones (16 Sky Guardian and 15 Sea Guardian drones) from American company General Atomics. Drones will start meeting from July. Predator drone can stay in the air for about 35 hours. It is fully remote controlled. Two people are required for this operation. Once in flight, it can monitor the area of 1900 km.

5. Launching of Chandrayaan-3 in July; If the landing is successful, India will be the fourth country to do so.
ISRO Chief S Somnath said that Chandrayaan-3 will be launched between July 12 and 19. The spaceship is all set. The exact date of launching will be announced after all the tests are completed. Earlier on 22 July 2019, the Chandrayaan-2 mission was launched, but in September 2019, the Vikram lander while trying to land on the Moon’s South Pole crashed.
Why this news is important: Since the failure of the Chandrayaan-2 mission, India has been preparing for the Chandrayaan-3 mission. If Chandrayaan-3 succeeds in landing on the moon, India will become the fourth country to do so. Earlier, America, Russia and China have landed their spacecraft on the moon.
