In Haryana, two youths were brutally beaten after being taken hostage in Ganaur area of Sonipat. A young man was subjected to third degree torture. A cloth soaked in petrol was tied to a pole and put in his private part. Along with this, the accused called their families and demanded a ransom of Rs 2 lakh in the name of releasing them. In view of the critical condition of a youth, he has been admitted to a hospital in Panipat.
Tasleem, a resident of Kachcha Camp, Panipat, told in a complaint to the Gannaur police that he works as a helper near Sarfaraz in Panipat. Sarfaraz’s job is to supply chicken. On April 16, Sarfaraz’s phone received a call from Ghaffar’s phone at around 6.30 am. He was told that he had to talk about some work. Around 3 pm, Tasleem and Sarfaraz came under the Garhi Kalan Gannaur bridge riding a bike.
Third degree torture was given to the youth by the accused. They were thrashed with sticks and cable wires.

Shakeel was found at a distance near the liquor shop. Ghaffar asked Shakeel to sit on Sarfaraz’s bike. Both of them went on the bike to a room built in the fields at the behest of Ghaffar.
Tasleem told that Gaffar left her, Sarfaraz and Shakeel at the room and went to pick up some other person. After some time he came with a young man. They don’t know his name. He told that all of them together made him and Sarfaraz captive by tying their hands and legs inside the room. Then started beating with sticks and cables. Shakeel and Ghaffar looted his mobile and Rs.3530. Also looted Sarfaraz’s silver chain and Rs 5,000.

Meanwhile, another young man Pravesh came there. Together they exposed Sarfaraz. Pravesh soaked the cloth in petrol and wrapped it on a stick and put it in the private part behind Sarfaraz. After this everyone started kicking and punching him and Sarfaraz. After this Ghaffar’s brother Sattar came there. Meanwhile, Sarfaraz was badly hurt and was in a state of unconsciousness.
Ransom of Rs 2 lakh sought
Sattar caught hold of Sarfaraz and then everyone started hitting Sarfaraz with sticks, cable wires, kicks and punches. Then they all demanded ransom from him. Said to get 2 lakh rupees from your own family members. After some time everyone left the room. He ran away after getting the chance.
During the fight, they called Riyasat, nephew of Sarfaraz, from his mobile number and demanded money. Both were threatened with death for not giving the money. Later, Sarfaraz was also taken to the civil hospital in Gannaur in a critical condition. He was referred to PGI Khanpur, but the family took him to a private hospital in Panipat.
Police registered a case against 5 people
SI Satbir Singh of Thana Gannaur told that after the information, when he reached the hospital, he came to know that Sarfaraz has been sent to Khanpur Medical. Then came to know that he is admitted in Sunil Hospital, Panipat. After reaching there and talked to the doctor, the doctor called him unfit to give a statement. On the complaint of his accomplice Tasleem, police have registered a case against Gaffar, Shakeel, Pravesh, Sattar and one other under section 323/387/379B/342/377/506/34 IPC.
