The temple management committee has decided to convert the Mahakal temple campus into a no mobile zone after increasing cases of making videos on film songs and uploading them on social media in the temple campus. That is, now no devotee will be able to take mobile with him. If anyone is caught with a mobile in the temple premises, a fine will be charged.

However, there will be exemption to carry mobile in Bhasma Aarti. That is because the tickets for the devotees who have done online booking are issued on mobile. They have to check the ticket issued on mobile before entering the temple. On Saturday, two videos of women security personnel dancing in the temple came to the fore. Both the women security personnel have been dismissed. Security personnel were banned from having Android mobiles on the same day.

The doors of the temple were opened at 4 am today during Bhasma Aarti at Mahakaleshwar temple.  Lord Mahakal was anointed with water and worshiped with panchamrit made of milk, curd, ghee, honey, sugar, fresh fruit juices.  Divine adornment was done with silver ornaments and hemp, sandalwood, dry fruits.

According to the committee members, temple officers, Pandas, priests will be able to carry mobiles, but will not be able to use them. If this happens, action can be taken against them as per rules. Mayor Mukesh Tatwal, temple management committee members Rajendra Guru, Ramji Pujari, Prashant Guru, administrators Sandeep Soni and Lokesh Chauhan were present in the meeting. Collector Ashish Singh said that there will be an official person on behalf of the committee to take photographs in the temple premises. Devotees will be able to get photographs taken with it.

Where will the mobiles of other devotees be kept?
After the inauguration of Mahakal Lok, there has been an increase in the number of devotees. According to the temple committee, earlier 10 to 25 thousand devotees used to come on an average daily, which has increased to 35 to 50 thousand. Apart from this, this figure increases to 50 thousand to one lakh on festivals and holidays. According to the temple administrator, where will the mobiles of such a large number of devotees be kept? This will be arranged in 15 days.

Till now Laddu Prasad was available for Rs.300 per kg, which has been decided to be increased to Rs.360 in the meeting of the temple management committee. The temple administrator says that the temple has its own laddu prasadi manufacturing unit in Chintaman. The cost of laddus being made there is Rs 374 per kg. In such a situation, the temple committee has to bear a loss of Rs 74 per kg of laddus. In view of this, the price of Laddu Prasad will be increased by Rs 60 to Rs 360. After 3 days, devotees will get laddoos at this price.

Madras High Court bans temples in Tamil Nadu
Recently, the Madras High Court has banned mobile phones in the temples of Tamil Nadu. The court said – this decision has been taken to maintain the purity of the temples. Phone lockers should be made outside the temples so that the devotees do not face any problem. To comply with this order, security personnel should be deployed in the temples.
