Pandoh-Takoli tunnel most difficult

The tunnel built between Pandoh and Takoli is the most difficult on this four-lane project. Engineers and others had to face a lot of difficulties during its construction. Actually in this area, Beas river flows on one side of the highway while on the other side there are high mountains. Here the engineering team faced a lot of difficulties in cutting the mountain and making a tunnel due to the Beas river flowing parallel to the highway and its flow being very fast.

Apart from tunnels, overbridges have also been built at many places on this entire highway passing through the mountains.

Freedom from the jam of Bilaspur
With the commencement of these five tunnels, the people going to Manali from Shimla and Solan will also get relief from the traffic jam of Bilaspur city. Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari shared information on his Facebook page regarding the trial of 5 tunnels. After this NHAI and district administration conducted their successful trial on Saturday.

Mandi DC Arindam Chowdhary said that between Hanogi and Jhalogi, there used to be a danger of stone falling from the mountains during the rainy season. Traffic had to be stopped due to the water of Beas river flowing along the highway coming on the road. All this will not happen now. Tourists will get better facility to reach Manali.
