West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s health condition improved on Wednesday, although doctors have advised her not to move. On Tuesday, Banerjee suffered injuries to her left knee and left hip joint while landing in a helicopter that made an emergency landing near Siliguri due to bad weather. At present, she is undergoing treatment at home.

The chief minister underwent physiotherapy for two hours and was also examined by two senior doctors, the official said. “There has been slight improvement in the chief minister’s condition today. However, he is still having pain which worsens with movement,” the official said.
