Foreign ministers will meet today and tomorrow at the G20 conference to be led by India. This will be the biggest meeting ever in terms of the presence of foreign ministers. Apart from G20 countries, 40 delegates from all over the world will participate in this.

G20 members Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, European Union, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Mexico, South Korea, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, US will participate in this meeting at the cultural center of Rashtrapati Bhavan. Apart from G20 members, foreign ministers of Bangladesh, Egypt, Mauritius, Netherlands, Nigeria, Oman, Singapore, Spain and UAE have also been called in this meeting. More than 40 delegates from around the world and 13 international organizations will attend the meeting. Headed by India’s External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar will do.

The meeting will take place on Thursday, March 2, but the beginning of foreign ministers coming together under one roof will be on Wednesday night. All the leaders will attend the dinner on Wednesday. This will be the second ministerial level meeting to be held under the chairmanship of India in G20. The first ministerial meeting of finance ministers and central bank governors was held in Bengaluru.

Initiative can be taken to end Russia-Ukraine war
The Foreign Minister of Russia is also to attend the G20 Foreign Ministers’ meeting. The issue of ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine may also come up in this meeting. The war between the two countries has been going on for more than a year. The tag line of the G20 summit to be chaired by India is Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam i.e. One Earth, One Family, One Future. In such a situation, an attempt is expected to restore peace in Russia-Ukraine.
