The air of Delhi has again started becoming poisonous. The city’s air quality was recorded above AQI 400 on Sunday. Due to this, the Central Air Quality Panel (CAQM) has implemented the third stage of GAP in Delhi. Due to this, construction has been banned in the city. This ban will continue till further orders.

The AQI has reached the severe category in many areas of Delhi. The AQI in Rohini in Delhi was recorded at 451 at 10 am on Sunday. At the same time, AQI 429 has been recorded in Anand Vihar area. On Saturday, Delhi recorded a 24-hour average AQI of 370, which is considered very poor.

Earlier in November, the CAQM had given instructions to stop unnecessary construction and demolition when Delhi’s air was polluted. When the air quality improved, this ban was lifted. According to media reports, experts are attributing the slow wind speed and the decrease in the height of the mixing layer as the reason for Delhi’s bad air.
