Now the layers of 50 crore scam in Haryana’s Faridabad Municipal Corporation will be revealed. Chief Minister Manohar Lal has given approval to the Haryana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for investigation in this matter. Soon ACB will inquire against 9 officers including 2 women IAS in this case.
According to Haryana CMO, ACB will soon interrogate 2 IAS of the state Sonam Goyal and Anita Yadav in this matter.
ACB had sought approval
It is being told that the Haryana Anti-Corruption Bureau (earlier the Vigilance Bureau) had sought permission from the state government to probe the involvement of the accused officers in the case. After getting the approval from the government, now the ACB can soon include these officers in the investigation and interrogate them, although no official information has been revealed about it yet.

Between 2017 and 2019, there was a scam of crores of rupees in Faridabad Corporation from roads to other works. When the layers started peeling off, it was found that no work had actually been done on the spot. In the year 2020, the scam was exposed by the outgoing councilor Deepak, Mahendra Sarpanch, Surendra Agarwal and others by giving a complaint to the municipal administration.
There were allegations that without any development work in the wards, crores of rupees were given to the contractor in connivance. The scam is said to be of more than Rs 50 crore.
