Police lathi-charged his followers at Acharya Rajneesh i.e. Osho Ashram in Pune, Maharashtra on Wednesday. It is alleged that the management of the ashram prevented hundreds of followers from entering the ashram by wearing sanyasi garlands, which enraged the followers and ransacked them.

As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and lathi-charged to control the situation. According to reports, one person has been reported injured in the lathicharge. Followers say that Osho himself had given the garland wearing which they are being prevented from entering inside. He also accused the ashram management of making rules arbitrarily.

Osho’s followers celebrate Enlightenment Day on March 21
Let us inform that people who follow Osho all over the world celebrate March 21 as Enlightenment Day. In 2023, the 70th Address Day is being celebrated. Due to this, his followers came to the ashram to visit Osho’s tomb. Many of these followers had sanyasi beads around their necks.

Trustees accused of selling ashram land
According to reports, followers allege that the trustees and management of Osho International Foundation (OIF) want to sell the ashram land unauthorizedly. Due to which there is tension between the trust and the followers for a long time. The detractors say that the trust has violated the Bombay High Court order by barring them from entering the ashram.
