It is being assessed whether drones will be cheaper than vehicles. If drones are cheaper than vehicles, then soon the work of picking up samples including medicines in remote areas of Himachal through drones will start.

Officials of the health department say that the drones that are there now, only 2 to 3 kg of goods can be carried. The department is wanting to get bigger drones than this, so that more medicines and samples can reach from one place to another in less time. It is the intention of the department that with the help of drones, goods can be delivered to remote areas.

It is worth mentioning that earlier in the previous government, medicines were delivered with the help of drones during trials in Bada Bhangal and other difficult areas. This trial was successful. After this it was being carried forward.

To overcome this deficiency and to deliver medicines to the people on time, the Health Department is being connected with the drone service.
