Malviya alleged that the police stood by as mute spectators when he was being thrashed and stripped of his clothes. At present, there is no official statement from the police on this.

BJP MP Locket Chatterjee started crying while narrating the incident of harassment of women during the press conference on 21 July.

Mentioning that incident, Locket Chatterjee also started crying. The incident took place in Dakshin Panchla area of ​​Howrah district. However, the victim woman had lodged a police complaint on this issue.

According to the FIR lodged by the victim, TMC candidate Himanta Roy along with others first assaulted the woman at the polling booth. Then some people tore the saree. The woman alleges that she was forced to strip naked and molested in public.
