1. Congress stakes claim to form government in Karnataka, DK will become CM after two and a half years

Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar along with the Congress delegation met Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot on Thursday and staked claim to form the government.

Siddaramaiah will be the CM for the first two and a half years and DK for the next two and a half years. But every decision in running the government will be taken only after the consent of DK.

DK MLAs will be given portfolios as per their choice. The swearing-in ceremony will take place tomorrow at 12.30 pm at the Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru. Earlier on Thursday late evening, a meeting of the Bengaluru Congress Legislature Party was held, in which Siddaramaiah was elected as the leader.
