A road in Mansa, Punjab has been named after Punjabi singer Sidhu Musewala. Mandi Board renamed Ram Ditta Road. Minister Balveer said that during the previous government, the then DGP had said that there are 57 such gangs in Punjab who commit incidents. Only the AAP government is doing the work of pushing these gangsters behind the bars in their real place.

On 29 May 2022, Sidhu Musewala was going to see his sick aunt. He was sitting with friends in Mahindra Thar. In Jawaharke, he was killed on the way in broad daylight by firing bullets at him. Along with Musewala, his two friends Gurvinder and Gurpreet were also sitting on the Thar. The responsibility of this massacre was taken by the gangster Goldie Brar sitting abroad. Brar carried out the murder at the behest of gangster Lawrence sitting in Tihar Jail. Till now about 36 people have been named in this case.
