There is a yellow alert in Rupnagar, SAS Nagar on June 19 and Fatehgarh Sahib, Patiala and SAS Nagar on June 20.

No alert was issued in Doaba on 17-18 June. On June 19, alert has been issued in entire Doaba and on June 20 in Hoshiarpur and Nawanshahr. Yellow alert has been issued in Majha on 17th June. While there is no alert on 18th June. On June 19 also, an alert has been issued in entire Majha. On the other hand, on June 20, a yellow alert has been issued only in Pathankot and Gurdaspur.

According to the information released by the Meteorological Department, by June 19, the temperature of the cities of Punjab will again cross 40 degrees, which had reached close to 36 degrees in the past. In the past, rain was seen only in some areas of Punjab. In which 4.5MM of rain was recorded in Ferozepur, 3MM in Fatehgarh Sahib, 1.2MM in Amritsar. Apart from this, there was no rain report in most of the areas. Due to which the temperature continues to rise since last day. An average increase of 2.2 degrees Celsius has been recorded in the minimum temperature of the state.

Today’s minimum temperature has been recorded in Faridkot 27.1 degree, Mohali 26.7 degree, Muktsar 25.1 degree, Bathinda 25.6 degree, which was 1 to 3.5 degree warmer than the previous day. On the other hand, Gurdaspur city was the hottest on the previous day with 35 degrees Celsius. Amritsar recorded 31 degrees Celsius and Ludhiana 31.9 degrees.
