Due to sluggish monsoon in Punjab, the night temperature is continuously increasing. There is only a difference of 8 degrees in day and night temperature, due to which the humidity is increasing. On an average, an increase of 2 degrees has been observed. This temperature has been recorded 2.5 degrees above normal.
According to the Meteorological Department, even today the chances of rain in Punjab are negligible, but there may be light rain in Tricity. On Sunday, 1.4 MM rain was recorded in Chandigarh and 1MM in Mohali. Even today there may be splatter in this area.

The weather is not right for crops
The weather prevailing for the last 2 months is not right for the crops. Unseasonal rains were seen in the month of June. Due to which the temperature of Punjab which reaches 47 degree, reached 42 degree only for a few days. The humidity is troubling even in the month of July, but there is no significant increase in temperature (42 to 45 degrees).
Its effect will be seen on the crops of the farmers. Paddy harvesting is going on in this season, but due to less heat, the yield will be affected. At the same time, there are also chances of spoilage of vegetables. Due to which inflation will be seen in the coming time.

Due to the sluggish monsoon for the last two-three days, the heat is increasing in Punjab. Today, the temperature in most of the cities of Punjab can reach beyond 38. At the same time, there is no chance of rain anywhere in Punjab today.
Amritsar- The minimum temperature in the district was recorded at 30.2 degrees. This temperature is 4.4 degrees above normal. There is no chance of rain today and tomorrow. The maximum temperature will reach 38 degrees.
Jalandhar- The minimum temperature in the district was recorded around 29 degrees, till evening it can remain near 37 degrees. There are no chances of rain there.
Ludhiana- The district recorded a minimum temperature of 28.8 degrees, which is 2.2 degrees above normal. At the same time, this temperature is 3.3 degrees higher than the previous day. Today’s maximum temperature will be recorded at 38 degrees.
