After the monsoon has become active again in Punjab, there has been a lot of change in the weather. It rained heavily in 11 districts on Thursday. The roads were filled with water up to one and a half feet. There are chances of heavy rains in entire Punjab till Monday.
By Sunday, the temperature of the cities of the state will reach below 30 degrees. At the same time, the Meteorological Department has issued orange and yellow alerts in Amritsar, Jalandhar and East Malwa till 5.30 pm today.

In the alert issued by the Meteorological Department, apart from Amritsar city, Ajnala, Dera Baba Nanak, Baba Bakala Sahib, orange alert has been issued in Mansa, Talwandi Sabo, Bathinda, Moga, Ferozepur. There may be heavy rains till 5.19 pm. On the other hand, yellow alert has been issued in Muktsar, Faridkot, Jalandhar, Kapurthala, Hoshiarpur, Nawan city till evening.

The rains in Punjab have brought down the temperature drastically. Punjab recorded an average of 23.4MM rainfall on the previous day. Barring a few places, rain was witnessed in entire Punjab in the last 24 hours. Ludhiana recorded 103.2MM of rain till 8.30 am, Gurdaspur 37MM, Ferozepur 40.5MM, Jalandhar 47MM, Ropar 64MM, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar 80MM, Chandigarh 20.3MM and Amritsar 17MM.
Due to which a difference of 1.5 degrees was seen in the minimum temperature of the day. At the same time, the maximum temperature is also expected to be around 30 degrees.

Amritsar- The city recorded a minimum temperature of 23.5 degrees Celsius, 2.4 degrees below normal. At the same time, there are chances of rain till today evening.
Jalandhar- The minimum temperature of the city was recorded at 25.4 degrees. And today also it will rain in Jalandhar. The maximum temperature is expected to be around 30 degrees.
Ludhiana- The city recorded a minimum temperature of 24.4 degrees Celsius, 1.4 degrees below the previous day’s minimum and 1.5 degrees below normal. There are chances of rain in Ludhiana today as well.
