Veteran Punjab Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu has taken refuge in the Punjab Haryana High Court to increase his security. Navjot Sidhu has filed a petition in the High Court, in which he has written that his security should be increased from Y to Z plus, as there is a threat to his life.
Sidhu, keeping his side in the court, has said that earlier he had received death threats several times. For this reason, the Center had given him Z plus security. When he went to jail in the road rage case, the security was withdrawn. It was then assured that the security would be returned to him when he came out of jail.
Sidhu’s security was downgraded after he came out of jail after serving his sentence in the road rage case.

According to Sidhu, now that he has been released from jail, his security has been reduced to Y category. Sidhu also told the court that about 4 days ago an unknown person was also seen on the terrace of his house. Patiala Police has also registered a case against unknown person in this matter.
Sidhu says that his life is in danger. In such a situation, the security given to them is very less. Therefore, they should be given Z plus security as before. The High Court will hear this petition of Sidhu tomorrow.
