Several more posts were also made on social media regarding the status of the security check, complaining about the delay at the security check point.

A Delhi airport official later said that the minister has ordered the airport authorities to resolve the issues on priority. “The airport has already discussed the matter with all the airlines and the matter should be resolved within a week,” the official said.

26 additional employees deployed

Delhi airport has deployed 26 additional staff to assist passengers in the entry forecourt and security area and is working with security agency CISF (Central Industrial Security Force), a Delhi airport spokesperson said, according to Hindustan Times report. So that work can be done completely through flexi shift from 5 in the morning. The spokesperson said, we are also in discussion with airlines to reduce peak hour departures from the terminal (T3) by 15%. However, for this some flights need to be transferred to T1/T2 and some to be rescheduled.

Another airport official said on the condition of anonymity that T3 was witnessing congestion during the day as footfall at the airport has recovered from pre-pandemic levels. The footfall is yet to be raised to the same level on the international front,” the official said.

A passenger who has traveled several times on the condition of anonymity said that there are not enough CISF officers to control the rush of passengers.

On Twitter, retired Indian Forest Service RR Sahay from Maharashtra said: “The most difficult and challenging task at T3 of Delhi airport is to go through the security check. Security check took 40 minutes. Most of the passengers were tired during this process. Will Delhi Airport care about making the system passenger friendly?
