Rahul Gandhi reached the Boys Hostel of Delhi University on Friday afternoon. He also had lunch here.

Delhi University has taken objection to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s visit to the boys’ hostel of the university. The university said the visit was done without permission. DU’s proctor Rajni Abbi alleged that the students were troubled due to Rahul’s arrival and they could not even get food. Rahul had reached Delhi University’s North Campus Post Graduate Men’s Hostel on Friday afternoon and interacted with the students there.

Rahul talked to the students about their problems and their career plans. He also had lunch with the students in the hostel.

This is not a public place that you can reach by roaming around.
Abbi told the agency, “Our objection is that Rahul Gandhi visited Delhi University without permission.” This is not a public place that you can reach by roaming around. You reach at lunch time, during that time food is prepared only for 75 people, sometimes 5-7 people reach more. But you come there with a crowd, these people are not even students here. Outsiders hijack the whole situation. This is not right. This causes problems to the hostel students. Students have given a written complaint that they did not get food. Abbi further alleged that Rahul Gandhi had not even taken any permission to interact with the students.

Who will be responsible if something happens?
There was no security during Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Delhi University campus as he did not take permission from anyone. They should have at least informed the proctor’s office. Proctor said Rahul has Z+ security. Who will be responsible if something happens by mistake?
