Yamuna has once again come above the danger mark (205.33 meters) in Delhi. The water level of the river reached 205.81 meters on Sunday. The water level of Yamuna has increased after the release of water from Hathini Kund in Haryana.

The water level of Yamuna has increased by about one meter in 15 hours near the old railway bridge. The water level was 205.09 meters till 7 pm on Saturday, which reached 206.01 meters at 10 am on Sunday.

In view of the flood-like situation in Delhi again, Union Home Minister Amit Shah spoke to LG VK Saxena. Preparations to deal with the situation were discussed between the two. Shah said that NDRF and SDRF teams are present to help the needy people. He has also instructed all the agencies to be alert.

For the first time at 5 pm on July 10 in the capital, the water level of Yamuna came above the danger mark. On July 13, the water level of Yamuna had reached a record height (208.66 metres). On July 15, the water level decreased from 206 meters, on July 23, the water level again came down to 206.1 meters. Yamuna flood water had reached Delhi’s Red Fort, Rajghat and Supreme Court in the past days.
