Damoh’s Ganga Jamna Higher Secondary School has been suspended following a controversy over Hindu girl students allegedly wearing hijabs. This action has been taken for violating the recognition rules. Joint Director Public Education Assistant Sagar Division has issued its orders. However, before this the school management retracted from its decision. He said that the scarf worn with the uniform was voluntary. The school management had also sent a letter to Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Friday.

Here, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who reached Chhatarpur, said that no private school can implement the dress code as per its wish. Tie scarves or sing any such poem, which has no connection with the land of India, then it will not work. We have given instructions to investigate such schools. As in Damoh’s school, we were walking with anything tied. This will not work in Madhya Pradesh. Only education that gives values and gives right direction will work here.
