A man was attacked by four people in Suryapet, Telangana on Thursday. The assailants continued to stab, stone and kick-punch the person for 1 minute 47 seconds. After this, people intervened and rescued the victim from the attackers.
The victim has been identified as C Santosh (28 years). Police said that the incident took place due to an old dispute. All the four accused have been arrested in the case.
CCTV footage related to the incident is going viral on social media. It is seen in the video of 2 minutes 20 seconds – Santosh is lying on the ground, four people are fighting with him. One of the attackers has a knife in his hand. There, the other two people are kicking and punching Santosh. After some time, an assailant picks up a stone lying nearby and starts attacking Santosh.
One of the accused is kicking and punching Santosh, the other accused is pelting stones at his head.
The people present on the spot saved the victim.
The victim makes several attempts to free himself from the attackers, but fails. The people present on the spot also try to save him. After a lot of effort, people separate the victim from the attackers at 1 minute 47 seconds. After this Santosh starts running from there. However, during this, blood is seen oozing from Santosh’s body.
The reason for the attack is old dispute
Police said that Santosh was attacked outside the office of Muthoot Finance on Thursday afternoon. Santosh was having a dispute with one of the accused Krishna for a long time. In the preliminary investigation, it appears that Krishna was keeping an eye on Santosh for several days. As soon as he got a chance, he along with his friends attacked Santosh.
According to the police, Santosh has been admitted to the hospital. Doctors say that his condition is stable. The accused have been identified as V Krishna, Manideep, P Mahesh and Prem Naidu. A case has been registered against him under IPC section 307 (attempt to murder) and the Arms Act.
