In November last year, a video of Satyendar Jain’s cell inside Tihar Jail surfaced, in which he was seen taking body massage. The picture is taken from the same video.

On the demand of former Delhi minister Satyendar Jain, the Tihar Jail administration has sent a show cause notice to the jail superintendent for sending two prisoners to his cell. In fact, Jain had requested the Superintendent of Jail No. 7 that he was suffering from depression due to loneliness. So two other prisoners should be kept with them, so that they can talk to them.

Fulfilling their demand, the superintendent transferred two people to their cells. However, as soon as the notice came, he sent both the prisoners back to their old cells. According to sources, the superintendent had transferred both the prisoners to their cell without informing the jail administration, which is against the rules. This step of the Superintendent has also raised questions on security.

Jain sent the application to the superintendent
According to officials, Jain had written in his application that he was going into depression due to loneliness. He said that a psychiatrist wanted him to increase his social circle, so he should be kept with two prisoners. He also gave the names of two prisoners from Ward No. 5 with whom he would like to share the cell.

Their demand was immediately accepted and both the prisoners were transferred to their cells. According to the jail administration, the superintendent took this decision without informing the administration. According to the rules, no prisoner can be taken out of one cell and sent to another without informing the jail administration and without its permission.

Jain was seen taking body massage and eating outside food in jail
Satyendar Jain is imprisoned in Tihar since June last year. In November, a jail official was suspended for giving VIP treatment to Satyendar Jain in jail. The ED had submitted the CCTV footage of the jail in a court, in which Jain was seen taking body massages and eating outside food in his cell.

During this, other prisoners were seen sitting in his cell, which was not allowed by the jail administration. He was also accused of influencing the investigation by meeting other accused in the case.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had launched a money-laundering probe against Jain on the basis of an FIR lodged by the CBI on August 24, 2017. Along with him, a case was also registered against Poonam Jain, Ajit Prasad Jain, Sanil Kumar Jain, Vaibhav Jain and Ankush Jain.
