Himachal Pradesh has become the first choice of tourists. The year 2022 was very beneficial from the point of view of tourism in the state. It has been claimed that in the year 2022, about 1 crore 60 lakh tourists came from all over the country to see Himachal Pradesh.

In the year 2022, 1 crore 60 lakh people turned to the beautiful valleys of Himachal, whereas in the year 2021, 57 lakh and in 2020 only 30 lakh tourists turned to the mountains. Tourists made advance booking for various tourist destinations of Himachal. In this, Manali, Lahaul Spiti, Kaza, Khajjiar, Mcleodganj, and Shimla became the first choice of tourists.

Due to the influx of tourists in the state, there has been an increase in the tourism business. Along with this, the corona period was also compensated. Due to the arrival of tourists in the state, small businessmen including hoteliers have also become silver.
Giving information, HPTDC director Amit Kashyap has said that in the year 2022, due to the influx of tourists, the tourism business in the state has increased a lot. Tourists are continuously coming to the state on New Year also.
A good number of tourists are expected to come in the next two months as well. He said that till March 40% discount will be given in 55 hotels of HPTDC.
