झारखंड: रांची से 50 किलोमीटर दूर बस पलटी, बिहार के 12 छात्र घायल; पलामू में हथियारों के साथ सात गिरफ्तार

More than 12 students of a Bihar school were injured when a bus overturned in Ranchi district on Sunday. A senior official said that the accident took place in Sikadri area, about 50 km from the capital, in the afternoon. The driver lost control of the bus and the vehicle overturned.

Sikadri police station in-charge Satya Prakash Ravi said that the bus carrying 64 students and teachers was going to Hundaru Waterfall in Ranchi. The students and teachers belong to Saraswati Vidya Mandir Barachatti in Gaya district of Bihar.

The steering of the bus got locked due to some reason near Doctor More in Sikadri and the driver lost control of the passenger vehicle, a police official said. The bus then overturned, injuring more than a dozen students. Earlier the students and teachers visited Bhadrakali temple in Chatra district.

Those with minor injuries were treated at the primary health centre, he said. At the same time, one injured was sent to Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Ranchi.

On the other hand, in Palamu district of the state, the police arrested seven people with arms and ammunition. Medininagar Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Rishabh Garg said that the raid was launched on Saturday night to nab the members of a criminal gang.

He told that seven people have been arrested in the raid. We have recovered four pistols and five rounds from the arrested persons. Further investigation is on.
