The Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert for heavy rains in all the states of the country except Jharkhand in the next 24 hours.
In the last 24 hours in Bihar, 15 people died in separate incidents of lightning. The rivers of the state are also flowing around the danger mark.
Talking about the last week, the maximum rainfall was received in Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. During June 29 to July 5, Bihar received 134 mm of rain, Gujarat 133 mm and Uttar Pradesh 78 mm. Whereas, Chhattisgarh received only 36 mm of rain during this period.
Due to heavy rain alert, all schools and colleges in Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts of Karnataka will remain closed on Thursday.
On Wednesday, 1 worker was killed and 3 people were injured after a factory shed collapsed in Ludhiana, Punjab. At the same time, National Highway 5 remained closed for two hours due to landslide in Himachal Pradesh.

Light rain will occur in these states: Light to moderate rain with lightning may occur over Jharkhand.
The weather will be clear in these states: There is no possibility of rain in Rayalaseema of Andhra Pradesh.
