Security forces have killed 2 terrorists on Tuesday morning in Budgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Security forces had received information about the presence of two terrorists in the area. After this, both the terrorists were killed in a joint operation by the army personnel and the police. According to media reports, two locals were also injured in the encounter. This encounter was going on near the SSP office.

On Tuesday morning, the security forces saw 2 suspects coming on a bike at the checkpost near the SSP office. When the team tried to stop them, they started running. The terrorists started firing on the security forces. In retaliatory action, one terrorist was killed on the spot, while the other received bullet injuries and was hiding in a nearby house. The security forces have also killed another terrorist by conducting a search operation.

4 terrorists were killed in Sidhra
Earlier on December 27, security forces had killed four terrorists in Sidhra area of ​​Jammu. DGP Dilbag Singh of Jammu and Kashmir Police had told that the terrorists were going towards Kashmir in a truck. It is possible that on or around January 26, they are going to carry out a big conspiracy. He told that a large number of ammunition was recovered from the truck which was seized.

37% drop in recruitment of terrorists
Vijay Kumar had told that in the year 2022, there has been a decline of 37% in the recruitment of terrorists as compared to last year, which is the highest till date. Maximum 74 terrorists joined Lashkar-e-Taiba, out of which 65 terrorists were eliminated in encounters. Out of these 65, 58 terrorists i.e. 89% were killed in the first month of joining the organization.

At the same time, 17 terrorists have been arrested. Presently 18 terrorists recruited this year are active in the valley. Security forces have recovered 360 weapons during encounters and search operations this year. This includes 121 AK series rifles, 8 M4 carbines and 231 pistols.
