The injured persons in the terror attack have been identified as Akshay and Sourav, both residents of Maharashtra.
Terrorists shot dead two non-locals in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district. Both have been admitted to the hospital, where their condition is said to be stable. The security forces have currently cordoned off the area.
According to initial media reports, both the injured are residents of Maharashtra and work at a jewelery shop. The injured have been identified as Akshay and Sourav. Kashmir Fight, the mouthpiece of the terrorist organization The Resistance Front (TRF), has claimed the responsibility of this attack.
On July 13, three people were shot dead by terrorists in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Fourth attack of the year on outsiders in Jammu and Kashmir
July 13: On July 13, three migrant laborers from Bihar were shot dead in Shopian district. The injured were identified as Anmol Kumar, Hiralal Yadav and Pintu Kumar Thakur.
May 29: A non-Muslim youth who had gone to the market to buy milk was shot dead in Anantnag district. Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists took the responsibility of the murder. According to the police, the deceased has been identified as Deepu of Udhampur district of Jammu region, who was working in a circus.
February 26: Sanjay Sharma, a Kashmiri Pandit working as a security guard in a bank was shot dead by terrorists in Achen area of Pulwama district. The responsibility of this murder was taken by the terrorist organization TRF.

July 18: Four terrorists killed in Jammu and Kashmir
Four terrorists were killed in a joint operation by security forces in Sindhra area of Poonch in Jammu and Kashmir. All the terrorists killed in the operation are foreigners. The encounter which started at around 11:30 pm on 17th July continued till morning of 18th July. Indian Army Special Forces, Rashtriya Rifles and Jammu and Kashmir Police personnel were part of the operation.

July 10: Police arrested 10 terrorists
The Jammu and Kashmir Police arrested 10 terrorists working to reactivate the banned separatist outfit JKLF and Hurriyat on July 10. Police told that these terrorists were meeting on the orders of their bosses sitting in Pakistan. They were in contact with foreign organizations. Some of these people also preached separatism like JKLF’s Farooq Siddiqui and Kashmir Global Council headed by Raja Muzaffar.
After killing the terrorists in Kupwara, Jammu and Kashmir, the police conducted a search operation in the area.
11 terrorists killed in last 1 month in Jammu and Kashmir
Army and police in Jammu and Kashmir killed 11 terrorists in the last month. On 23 June, 4 terrorists were killed in Kupwara. They were trying to infiltrate into the Indian border from Pakistan. Earlier, on June 16, 5 terrorists were killed in Kupwara itself.
