ISRO chairman S. Somnath told Bhaskar that in the last 73 days, all the scientists associated with the mission were engaged day and night in making the structure by connecting different parts of Chandrayaan-3. Only a few got the chance to go home. This successful launching is the result of their dedication, intelligence and hard work.

Project director P. Veeramuthuval had 29 associate and deputy directors in the team. 55 were project managers. Associate director Kalpana played an important role. Started preparing for Chandrayaan-3 since the crash landing of Chandrayaan-2
ISRO scientists had started preparing for Chandrayaan-3 since the crash landing of Chandrayaan-2’s lander. The first year was spent on bug finding through data analysis and its simulation. In the second year, improved equipment and technology. The third year passed only in trials. Deliberately made possible mistakes and saw their consequences. Then improved the software and sensor. The fourth year was spent in close coordination with all the major centres.

Despite the scorching heat, a large number of people turned up to watch the launch of Chandrayaan-3.

Third flight of LVM-3 in last one year
This was the third flight of the LVM-3 rocket in the last one year. Industry contributed to providing about 85 per cent of the fuel from the front or inside of the LVM-3 standing on the launch pad, although the development, design and quality control of Chandrayaan-3’s lander, rover and propulsion modules were not supported by industry. ISRO was responsible.
