Gangster Sukha Badewal, who was a favorite of politicians in Punjab’s Ludhiana, was gunned down last day. The killers are also said to be none other than his accomplices Rohit Ishu, Babbu and Asa. At present, the police are still considering Rohit Ishu and Babbu as involved in the case. But the police investigation is going on even on Asa.
Sukha Badewalia had 23 cases registered in different police stations. In many cases, he has also got the tag of wanted.
Sukha had become a headache for the Ludhiana Police as he started land grabbing and duping people. Politicians have been using this gangster to grab properties and threaten people.
After the murder of gangster Sukha Badewalia, the relatives and the police reached the spot mourning.
Even 7 years ago friend fired bullets on Sukha
On May 22, 2016, Sukha Badewalia was shot dead by her friend-turned-foe Sanjeev Sharma alias Sunny after barging into her rented house in Badewal’s Star Colony. He survived the attack.

Sanjeev Sharma, son of deceased sub-inspector Surjit Chand Sharma, fired at least six bullets at Sukha, four of which hit him. He was taken to the hospital and his life was saved. Police officers had said that Sanjeev Sharma had an altercation with Sukha over some issue, after which Sukha slapped Sanjeev. Keeping a grudge against this, Sanjeev barged into Sukha’s house and fired bullets at her to avenge the slap.
Sukkha came in the police record in 2005
Badewalia came into police records in 2005 when he killed two men, Deepu and Bhola Ram, and dumped their bodies in the Sidhwan canal. He had two separate cases of murder registered against him at Focal Point and Division No. 7 police stations and was lodged in jail, but was released on bail.
Subsequently, in August 2012, Badewalia opened fire on Amandeep Asa on Dhandra Road and then on Jagdeep Chahal, an NRI in Model Town. A case of attempt to murder was registered in both the cases. Year after year the cases of attempt to murder against him kept increasing.
The car had also run over the police
In October 2013, the gangster tried to kill Mani Bhanja on Badewal Road and then in December 2013 opened fire on his rivals at the South City canal bridge. Badewalia had also created a danger for the police.
Badewalia had tried to crush the police party on Hambra Road in 2014. The vehicle rammed the police party. In February 2017, the accused fired at a shopkeeper, for which he was again booked for attempt to murder. Apart from this, a case of robbery, assault and forgery was also registered against him.
