In Gujarat’s Mehsana, a former sarpanch showered notes on his nephew’s wedding. Karim Yadav, ex-sarpanch of Angol village in Kekri tehsil, stood on the roof of his house and waved Rs 100 and Rs 500 notes, which a crowd of people gathered under the house to collect. There was also a scuffle between many people to pick up the notes.
At the time when Karim Yadav was blowing the notes, his nephew Razzak was leaving the village with a procession. Karim Yadav and other family members distributed notes to involve the entire village in the wedding celebration.
