कालका-शिमला ट्रैक पर ट्रेन का पहला ट्रॉयल फेल: टकसाल स्टेशन तक नहीं पहुंच पाई गाड़ी, कमियां दूर करने के बाद फिर होगा टेस्ट

The first trial run of a train equipped with state-of-the-art facilities on the Kalka-Shimla heritage rail track in Himachal failed on Thursday. Railway officials will now rectify the defects that came to the fore during this period. Similar 4 to 5 more trials will be done. Only after that the train is expected to come in running status.

At present, a small train is running on the narrow gauge line of the Kalka-Shimla Heritage Track, which is very important from the point of view of tourism. Due to the heritage status, no changes can be made on this rail track. In such a situation, special coaches have been made by the Railways for this track, in which modern facilities have been given. After the trial is successful, this vehicle will be run regularly here.

Various facilities have been provided in the new coaches made for the Kalka-Shimla rail track.

Team came from Lucknow
A special railway team from Lucknow reached Kalka for the trial of this special train running on the Kalka-Shimla rail route. The trial run of the train was done under the supervision of this team. After leaving Kalka station, this train reached Taksal station but could not go ahead from there. After this the train was brought back to Kalka station.

During the trial, there was a team of 25 to 30 people in the train, which included engineers along with railway officials.

Modern type toilets have been made in the new coaches.

Specification of new coaches

The coaches designed for this track are equipped with almost all modern facilities. These include first aid kit, panic switch, destination board, heater, CCTV cameras, mobile charger switch. There are three coaches in this train. Of these, the first and last coaches have 19-19 seats while the middle coach has 23 seats. These coaches are made in Bengaluru.

The new coaches are connected to each other, due to which passengers can move from one coach to another at any time. Right now the coaches of the train running on this track are not connected to each other.

there will be more trials
No railway official is ready to tell anything on the trial conducted on Thursday. However, according to railway sources, there will be some more trials of this train in the coming days. Mechanical faults found after every trial will be rectified. These trials will continue till all the faults are removed.

These coaches will be put on the track only after meeting the standards related to the safety of the passengers.
