How much can the membership fee be increased?
Quoting sources in the reports, it is being told that the State Congress Committee membership fee can be increased to Rs 1000. It is 100 rupees now. In the increased fee, Rs 400 will be for development fee and Rs 300 for party magazine Sandesh. All India Congress Committee Membership Fee can be 3000. For 5 years, the member will have to pay a development fee of Rs 1000.
Reason for increasing membership fees?
According to sources, the party leadership believes that due to the increase in fees, the workers will be more responsible for the party. At a time when the Congress is grappling with the problem of funds, then increasing the fees will help.
What will be the process if CWC elections are held, will there be any impact on Rahul-Priyanka?
Preparations are on to propose the election of CWC members. Former party presidents, former prime ministers, party leaders in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, parliamentary party presidents will be directly elected members of the CWC. Rahul has been the president, so there is no doubt about his membership, but Priyanka will have to contest the election. Party sources say that if elections are held, Priyanka will get majority votes.

There are assembly elections in 9 states this year. There is a general election next year i.e. 2024. The party wants to make necessary changes from now itself. These changes are being considered after Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra. According to sources, after the yatra, Rahul Gandhi’s focus is on the fact that the leader should connect with his ground workers in a better way.
