On Wednesday, 10 BJP MLAs were suspended from the Karnataka Assembly for the rest of the session. These people were creating ruckus during the meeting of opposition parties in Bengaluru on Tuesday opposing the imposition of duty on 30 IAS officers.

These MLAs also threw papers at Deputy Speaker Rudrappa Lamani. BJP and JDS have also placed a no confidence motion against the speaker. At the same time, the police have detained former Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai and other leaders for creating ruckus outside the assembly.

The 10 BJP MLAs suspended by Deputy Speaker Rudrappa Lamani are Dr. CN Ashwath Narayan, V Sunil Kumar, R Ashok, Araga Gyanendra, D Vedavyas Kamath, Yashpal Suvarna, Dhiraj Muniraj, A Umanath Kotian, Arvind Belad and Y is Bharat Shetty.

According to the news agency PTI, during the proceedings of the House, BJP and JDS MLAs were creating ruckus regarding the duty of IAS officers. Meanwhile, the assembly speaker went on saying that the proceedings of the house would not stop for lunch and the discussion on the budget and other issues would continue.

After this, the deputy speaker was running the house. Annoyed by the Speaker’s decision to continue the proceedings amid protests and not giving a break for lunch, the BJP MLAs created ruckus and suddenly started throwing papers at the Speaker and the Deputy Speaker. During this, he said that the House cannot be run like this. He demanded to know under which rule the lunch was cancelled.
