A case of lapse in the security of Prime Minister Narendra Modi came to light on Thursday in Hubli, Karnataka. The PM has arrived here to inaugurate the youth festival. He was doing a roadshow when a young man ran up to the gate of his car and tried to garland him. However, the security personnel immediately stopped the youth. On the other hand, the Police Commissioner has denied any lapse in security.

Shortly after this incident, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 26th National Youth Festival here.

Youth power driving force of India

Addressing the youth on this occasion, PM Modi said that youth power is the driving force of India. The aspirations of youth power decide the destination of India. The passion of youth power decides the way of India. India has dominated the world in every field from toys to tourism, defense to digital. This is a special period in history. You are a special generation.

You have a special mission in front of you to make an impact of India in the global scene. Today, be it a village, a city or a town, the spirit of the youth is on the rise everywhere. Every mission needs a foundation, be it economy or education, sports or start-ups, skill development or digitalisation, a strong foundation in every field has been laid in the last 8-9 years. The runway is ready for the flight of the youth.

Indian women are flying fighter planes today. Playing fighting roles in the army. Women are scaling heights in every field of science-technology, space, sports. It is an announcement that India is now moving towards its goals with full force.

Youth Festival will run till January 16
This youth festival, to be held on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, will run from January 12-16. In this, 30 thousand youth from different states of the country will participate. This year the theme of the program has been kept ‘Developed Youth-Developed India’.

National Youth Festival is held every year in the country
For the last 26 years, every year in January, National Youth Festival is organized in different states. Last time this program was held in Puducherry, whose theme was ‘Empowering Youth-Empowered Youth’.

According to officials, the objective of this festival is to enhance the role of youth in nation building and to bring forward the talented youth at the national level. He said that it brings the diverse cultures of the country on a single platform. Also, all the delegates unite in the spirit of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’.

More than 30 thousand youth involved
PM Modi will share his vision with the youth at the inauguration ceremony. More than 30,000 youth from across the country are participating in the five-day programme. Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai said that youth representatives from 28 states and 8 union territories are participating in the National Youth Festival to showcase their talent. He told that for the first time the National Youth Festival is being organized in North Karnataka.
