Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister and Congress State President DK Shivakumar reached the Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain in the early hours of Sunday. He participated in the Bhasma Aarti of Mahakal. DK is a devotee of Lord Mahakal and Kaal Bhairav. He told, ‘Even when bad times were going on, I have come to Ujjain thrice to see Mahakal.’ He also said that Hinduism, temples and God are not the personal property of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
DK Shivakumar is on a two-day Madhya Pradesh tour. He had reached Ujjain at 8 pm on Saturday night. Went to visit Mahakal temple and Kaal Bhairav temple in the night itself. After night rest at the Circuit House, attended the Mahakal Bhasm Aarti which is held in the early hours. Meditating sitting in Nandi Hall. Chanted the name of Mahakal. MLA Mahesh Parmar, Jitu Patwari, Shobha Ojha and other Congress leaders and office bearers were also present with him.

The portals of the Mahakaleshwar temple were opened at 4 am on Sunday for Bhasma Aarti. After anointing Lord Mahakal with water, worship is done with Panchamrit made of milk, curd, ghee, sugar and fresh fruit juices. Baba Mahakal was divinely decorated with hemp, sandalwood, dry fruits and silver moon and trinetra were offered.
Prayed for India’s prosperity
After Mahakal darshan and worship, DK Shivakumar told the media, ‘This time we have got the blessings of the Congress government in Karnataka. Mahakaleshwar has given us the opportunity to serve the people of Karnataka as a government. I had come here even before the elections. I have come to pray to God to give prosperity to me and India including Karnataka. Everyone be happy. From today we are making bus fare free for women in Karnataka.

Congress will win in MP by getting more seats than Karnataka
Shivkumar said, ‘Like Karnataka, the people of Madhya Pradesh are also troubled due to the corruption of the BJP government. After the upcoming assembly elections, it is certain that the Congress government will be formed in Madhya Pradesh. This time the double engine government will also change in MP. All the leaders including Kamal Nath, Digvijay Singh are working together. Congress will get more seats in Madhya Pradesh than in Karnataka.

National leadership will decide my role in MP
Earlier on Saturday, DK Shivakumar visited Shri Pitambara Peeth in Datia. On the question of the media, he said, ‘The victory of Karnataka elections has given courage to all of us. What will be my role in Madhya Pradesh? It will be decided by the national leadership only. Along with the DK family, reached Datia by private plane at 3.30 pm on Saturday. He stayed here in the temple till 5.30 pm and offered prayers.
He had reached Indore only on Saturday. Talking to the media here, he said, ‘People in Madhya Pradesh have made up their mind for a complete change. I had also come to Madhya Pradesh during the Bharat Jodo Yatra, then I had seen the atmosphere here. The public is completely in favor of the Congress. On the probe into the allotment of land to the RSS by the previous BJP government in Karnataka, he said the matter is with the CM. Only he can speak on this.
During the Bhasma Aarti of Mahakal, DK was seen engrossed in devotion. He sat here meditating.
