The part of the school where the bodies of those who lost their lives in the Odisha train accident were kept was bulldozed on Saturday. Earlier on Friday, the tin shed kept on the part of the school was removed.

Actually, after the accident, the parents were afraid to send the children to school. They were demanding the demolition of the school. At the same time, the teachers of the school were also refusing to come to the school. After this the school administration took this decision. The administration says that the building will be demolished and rebuilt. It will also be purified before the school opens.

288 people died in the train accident in Balasore on June 2. The bodies were kept at Bahanga High School, 500 meters away from the spot. The rescue team converted two rooms and a hallway of the 65-year-old school building into a makeshift morgue. Dead bodies wrapped in shroud were brought here.

There will be worship to drive away fear
School principal Pramila Swain said – Small children are scared. After the building is completed, the school plans to organize spiritual programs and conduct some rituals to help them overcome their fears. About 650 children study in the school.

Order to demolish after collector’s visit
The district administration visited the school on Thursday. Balasore District Collector Dattatraya Bhausaheb Shinde said- I have met the members of the school management, the principal, other employees and the local people. They want to demolish the old building so that the children have no fear. Although at present the school is being demolished symbolically, it will take two-three months to completely demolish it.

Coramandel Express collided with goods train
On June 2, 288 people died and more than 1100 were injured in the horrific accident in Balasore, Odisha. The accident occurred when the Coromandel Express collided with a goods train parked on the loop line. The coaches of Coromandel then fell on the adjacent track. On which the coming Bengaluru-Howrah Superfast Express collided with the bogies of Coromandel.

After the accident, day and night rescue operation was carried out on the track. Along with this, the track was also being repaired. The service was restored again 51 hours after the accident. The CBI is probing the accident on the recommendation of the Railway Minister.
