The mortal remains of martyr Havildar Amrik Singh of Una district of Himachal from Jammu and Kashmir will be brought to Ganu Mandwara tomorrow i.e. on Monday. The post-mortem of the dead bodies of Amrik and other two martyrs was done in late evening Srinagar. This morning the mortal remains of Shaheed Amrik Singh of Una and Shaheed Amit Sharma of Hamirpur will be brought from Srinagar to the Army Center in Jammu. Where the last farewell will be given by saluting the martyred soldiers in the Army Center.

After this, the mortal remains of both the martyrs will reach Chandigarh by air from there in the afternoon. Then on Monday, the mortal remains of Shaheed Amrik Singh and Amit Sharma will be brought from Chandigarh to their native village by road. In Ganu Mandwada, family members, relatives and people of the village are waiting for the mortal remains of the martyr’s son to arrive.

On the other hand, the head of Ganu Mandwada Panchayat Bhupinder Singh told that the family members have received information about this from the officials of the Army Center this morning. He told that the body will be brought to Army Center in Jammu before Srinagar today. From where the army personnel will come to Chandigarh with the dead body.

Bhupinder Singh said that the mortal remains of martyr Amrik Singh would reach Ganu Mandwara by road from Chandigarh on Monday between 11 am and 12 noon. Said that the last rites of the martyr would be performed after necessary rituals at home. Let us inform that on Tuesday evening, three soldiers, Havildar Amrik Singh, were martyred in an accident during patrolling in Machil sector of Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Due to bad weather there, the dead bodies of the martyred soldiers could not be airlifted for 3 days. When the weather cleared in Kupwara on Saturday, army officials airlifted the bodies of the martyred soldiers to Srinagar. After this the medical process was completed there.
