The country has received 13% less rainfall. The northwestern states have recorded 40% more rainfall than normal. Monsoon is expected to remain active for two days in the eastern, central, north-west and western states of the country.

Here, due to heavy rains in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, a landslide occurred near Chhinka on Thursday. Because of this, the highway leading to Badrinath has been blocked. Tourists are stranded here. The work of removing the debris that has fallen on the road is going on.
