In Ujjain on Saturday night, a young man was found crying in the middle of the road in a burning condition. Asif was handed over the bribe amount

Two days back Constable Ravi was caught taking bribe by pressurizing a cricket bookie, but then he ran after seeing the Lokayukta’s team coming. The bribe amount of Rs 25 thousand was handed over to the agent. Meanwhile, the Lokayukta had found out that the agent’s name was Asif Painter. Ravi had color on his hands, so a case was registered against him.

Asif had done two marriages, younger daughter is 6 months old

Sagir, the cousin of the deceased, told that Asif had done two marriages. He had left his first wife. The second wife lived with him. With this, he has three children (12 years old Sana, 2 years old Katab and 6 months old daughter Hamza). Asif used to do painting and brokerage work in the police station. That is why he had good relations with the policemen. In the case of constable Ravi Kushwaha, the police suspected that Ravi had given Rs 25,000 as bribe to Asif, since then the Lokayukta police was searching for Asif. Police arrived after one and a half hours of the incident

Police said- Lokayukta did not inform us about the action

Eyewitnesses told that after rescuing the young man, he helped in sending him to the hospital. Police was also informed, but neither the police of Chimanganj police station reached nor the police of Kotwali police station came. Lokayukta DSP Sunil Talan told that constable Ravi Kushwaha of Chimanganj police station was trapped two days back. The Lokayukta came to know that Ravi had given the money to Asif. For two days the team of Lokayukta was searching for him. Chimanganj police station in-charge Jitendra Bhaskar says that no information was given to us in writing by the Lokayukta about the painter as to what action he was taking. We only know about the constable being trapped.
