The Indian Air Force fleet includes the Apache and LCH attack helicopters. Apart from this, there is also Mi-25 and HAL Rudra. Apache is made in America while LCH is made in India. Both add to the strength of the Air Force. Apart from this, fighter jets like MiG, Sukhoi and Rafale are present in the Airforce.

LCH Prachanda completed in 16 years

In the year 2006, the government entrusted the work of making LCH to Hindustan Aeronautics Limited ie HAL. In February 2010, the first prototype of the LCH underwent its first ground test. A few months later the first flight test was done. On 3 October 2022, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh formally handed over 4 LCH Prachanda to the Indian Air Force at Jodhpur.

The helicopter is fitted with 16 anti-tank AGM-114 Hellfire and Stringer missiles. Hellfire missile can destroy any armored vehicle like tank, cannon, BMP vehicles in the blink of an eye. At the same time, the Stringer missile is capable of facing any threat coming from the air. Along with this, it is also equipped with Hydra-70 unguided missiles which can destroy ground targets.
