आजादी के बाद भारत का दूध उत्पादन 10 गुना बढ़ा: डेयरी उद्योग के 49वें सम्मेलन में गृहमंत्री बोले- मिल्क प्रोडक्शन में हम सबसे आगे

Home Minister Amit Shah is on a two-day Gujarat tour. On Saturday, he inaugurated the 49th Conference of Dairy Industry in Gandhinagar.

Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah attended the 49th Dairy Industry Convention in Gandhinagar on Saturday. Addressing the conference, Shah said that India’s milk production has increased 10 times since independence. Shah is on a two-day tour of Gujarat from Saturday. He will be involved in different public events there.

Amit Shah said that in 1970 India was a milk deficient country with a production of 60 million liters per day, but today it is the largest producer of milk in the world with 580 million liters per day. The country’s population increased 4 times, but our farmers increased milk production 10 times.

Amit Shah said that in 2022 the production of milk has increased to 58 crore liters per day, which is the highest since 1970.

India leads in milk production
According to Shah, our milk processing capacity is around 126 million liters per day, which is the highest in the world. He said that the dairy sector has also worked for the development of the country.

The Home Minister said that the contribution of corporate dairy is huge, which has helped poor farmers and women to become self-reliant. The Indian Dairy Association (IDA) has played an important role in the development of the dairy sector. Industrial session has been organized for farmer technical session.

He said- The dairy sector is an important aspect of the Indian economy. The contribution of the dairy sector is more than Rs 10 lakh crore. 45 crore people are associated with it.

A large number of people were present there during the conference. Shah said that there is a need for White Revolution-2 in the country today and we are moving forward in this direction under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

Shah’s program in Gujarat
During his visit, the Home Minister will inaugurate the Free Food Campaign at the Civil Hospital in Gandhinagar. After this, he will inaugurate the Nardipur pond and will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate online the different development works of Vasan pond and Kalol. He will later attend the convocation ceremony of Maharaja Sayajirao University in Vadodara in the evening. The ceremony will be held at the convocation campus of MS University.

On Sunday, the Home Minister will lay the foundation stone of Junagadh District Bank Headquarters and inaugurate APMC Kisan Bhavan in Junagadh. Apart from this, Shah will offer prayers at Somnath temple and will inaugurate development works online with the launch of Somnath Trust’s mobile app.
